Richard Western Vertical Rotor spreaders have a robust, efficient design that delivers a fine, even spread pattern, leaving a lump-free carpet of spread material. The hydraulically driven conveyor floor uses high-end, calibrated floor chains and a unique 6-tooth, replaceable floor sprocket. The vertical rotor design with 5 spirals and a staggered tooth arrangement provides a constant load on the tractor, allowing for better fuel efficiency, quicker unloading times, and a shred-and-spread effect.
The spinning disk spreader uses the same floor design as the vertical spreader. A combined twin horizontal rotor with two 3-vane, 1.1 m-diameter disks design, combined with close-spaced floor slats, allows for a little-and-often approach to spreading, giving a wide, consistent spread pattern.
The Richard Western SDS side-discharge spreader is world-leading for handling sand, with the option for the main auger to be driven either by PTO and chain or hydraulically, allowing materials to remain semi-suspended over longer transport distances. The 1.5m-wide guillotine door allows yard manures to be spread and provides stone-trap protection for the rotor.
Every Richard Western product is shot blasted, primed with a high zinc primer and followed with a two-pack acrylic top coat which is applied and cured at an optimal temperature. This all contributes to a finish which can be relied on for the long term in even the harshest weather conditions.
